'Fizzer' is Scots slang for 'face'.
The artists of the Scottish Cartoon Art Studio have drawn thousands of faces since they set up shop in 1999. Now they have gathered together over 100 of their best caricatures of famous names from all walks of Scottish life. Fizzers is a unique celebration of some of Scotland's greatest achievers, past and present. Each portrait is accompanied by a brief biography, and many feature revealing comments from the artists and their subjects.All the images from the book plus many more can be seen in an exhibition at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh from April 7 to 2 July.

This really is a lovely little book. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The Scottish Cartoon Art Studio was set up in 1999 in Glasgow and has created illustrations, caricatures and cartoon strips for the public and corporate sector. The team have published and exhibited work worldwide and have drawn special commissions for clients as diverse as Matt Groening, Michael Moore, the cast of Coronation Street and the Prince of Wales.
