This reminded me greatly of the excitement of belting home with the latest issue of 2000AD when I was but a lad. It's a futuristic tale, set in the 23rd century, where Earth has joined a galactic group of worlds, although humans aren't particularly liked or trusted due to actions of the recent past. The story follows two new special agents of the intergalactic group, one a human and the other an alien whose race were almost exterminated by a war with Earth. It's now their job to prevent a conflict erupting elsewhere.
I particularly enjoyed the art in this book and the superb colouring using a limited palette makes for a great atmosphere throughout. I fell out with 2000AD a while back, but Orbital reminded me of all the things I used to love about it, with its strange aliens, bizarre worlds and fresh ideas. There's lots going on, and the Orbital of the title gives the impression that there's so much more to be explored.
