Here's a great one for kids and the young at heart. It reminded me a great deal of the Whizzer and Chips comics I used to read as a child. It's a very simple idea (as many of the good comic creations are) and essentially boils down to the class dunce, Ducoboo, attempting to copy all the answers from the clever girl who sits next to him. And that's sort of it. Each page is a self-contained part of the on-going story as I suspect they once stood alone, but they do follow a continuing narrative. Although Ducoboo is a dunce, he's not a bad lad, nor is he portrayed in a negative manner – he's just desperate and it's all he knows.
I genuinely thought the premise would wear thin quickly, but it's very inventive, and because the strip is character driven you can't help but be drawn in. It's making the rounds of my children right now and gets a thumbs up from them too.
And if you liked that: Then take a look at Spirou And Fantasio
